US State High Points

by pickapeak

The highest point of each of the fifty US states, the list of the Highpointers Club. It runs from Denali in Alaska, at 6,190 m the highest peak in North America, through Mount Whitney, Mount Elbert and Mount Rainier, to Britton Hill in Florida, which at 105 m is the lowest state high point.

The variety is the appeal: glacier climbs, long western hikes, Appalachian summits with roads to the top, and flat spots in fields and forests marked only by a sign. A few stand on private land and need permission or have limited visiting days.
