Dohyaska (Догяска, 1,761.7 m / 5,780 ft) is a scenic peak in the central Svydovets massif of the Ukrainian Carpathians, in Rakhiv district of Zakarpattia Oblast. Its northeastern slopes host the beautiful glacial lake Hereshaska (also called Dohyaska lake), one of the largest and most picturesque high-mountain lakes in the Carpathians (at 1,577 m, length ~125 m). The mountain features steep rocky sections, alpine meadows, and stone runs. Popular routes lead from Dragobrat or Cherna Tysa via polonyna Vorozheska or direct to the lake and summit, often as part of Svydovets ridge traverses (with Kotel, Bliznytsia). The summit provides panoramic views of Svydovets lakes, neighboring peaks, and distant ranges. It's a favorite for day hikes to the lake or longer treks—renowned for crystal-clear water, reflections, and serene wilderness away from mainstream trails.
