The Salathé Wall is another classic El Capitan big-wall route, known for sustained difficulty and historic significance. It combines steep free and aid climbing on excellent but demanding granite. The route is long, committing, and typically climbed over several days with bivouacs on the wall. It is exposed to rockfall, weather changes, and the complexities of wall logistics. The route is well documented in Yosemite climbing guides and is a benchmark El Capitan ascent. It is not a trekking route and requires advanced technical climbing skills.
