Monte Agner has a documented normal route to the summit that is used as the standard alpine ascent. It is not a simple hike and should be treated as a mountaineering route. The line involves steep mountain terrain with exposed passages. Depending on conditions, route-finding and sure-footedness are important. The route is generally less technical than the harder climbing lines on the peak, but it still requires alpine experience. It is a recognized summit route for this mountain.

Ascend the normal line on the mountain's south/southwest side
Follow the easiest documented alpine terrain to the summit ridge
