Via del Verdet

3A | AD | III Edit route
Via del Verdet is a well-known alpine route on Pedraforca-Pollegó Superior and is more serious than the normal ascent. It follows a more direct rocky line on the mountain’s north side and involves sustained scrambling with exposed passages. The route is typically described as a mountaineering itinerary rather than a hiking trail. Loose rock and exposure are the main concerns, especially if other parties are on the route. In poor weather or winter conditions it can become considerably more committing. It is one of the established named climbing lines associated with the peak.

This is the classic and most documented mountaineering line on Pedraforca-Pollegó Superior. It is a steep mountain route rather than a simple hiking path, with loose rock, scree, and exposed sections on the upper slopes. The route is commonly climbed in summer and in mixed winter conditions, when snow and ice can significantly increase the difficulty. The main objective hazards are rockfall, unstable terrain, and route-finding in the gullies below the summit. Its overall difficulty is generally considered moderate alpine scrambling rather than technical climbing. It is the standard summit route referenced in local mountain literature for Pedraforca.
