Normal Route via the North Face and the Enforcadura
This is the classic and most documented mountaineering line on Pedraforca-Pollegó Superior. It is a steep mountain route rather than a simple hiking path, with loose rock, scree, and exposed sections on the upper slopes. The route is commonly climbed in summer and in mixed winter conditions, when snow and ice can significantly increase the difficulty. The main objective hazards are rockfall, unstable terrain, and route-finding in the gullies below the summit. Its overall difficulty is generally considered moderate alpine scrambling rather than technical climbing. It is the standard summit route referenced in local mountain literature for Pedraforca.
Route Outline
Start from the usual Pedraforca access points in Saldes or Gósol
Approach the Enforcadura col between Pollegó Superior and Pollegó Inferior
Climb the north-side gullies and scree slopes toward the summit ridge
Reach the summit of Pollegó Superior
Descend by the same general line or the standard loop back to the col
