Normal route via the south-west ridge (Via Normale / Cresta Sud-Ovest)
This is the standard mountaineering line on Cima della Vezzana and is the best-known way to the summit. It follows the south-west ridge, using mostly rocky scrambling terrain with short steeper sections. The route is alpine in character but generally less technical than the harder faces and ridges on the peak. Route-finding can be important in poor visibility because the ridge is broken and complex in places. Conditions matter, especially early season snow or verglas on the upper mountain. It is a serious high-Dolomite climb rather than a simple hike.
