Beautiful, non-difficult ridge of decent rock, short — very panoramic

From the hairpin at 1590 m follow the path to the Col de la Roussa, beautiful and panoramic; at around 1850 m follow the path to Lago Rouen and follow it to 1250 m, where high up on the left you see the three teeth. Leave the path and climb steeply to the base of the first tooth.

The first tooth is attacked on the left of the ridge (II+) which is then followed for a stretch, then follow a partly grassy chimney slightly to the right. By easier rock reach the summit. Descending a few metres reach the base of the second tooth.

Pass a slab, then an articulated wall (II+). Reaching a small terrace traverse a step to the left, descend slightly into a crevice from where take a dihedral (II+), which higher opens into slabs leaning (II) at the summit.

Follows a slight descent and another small crest of rather delicate blocks, then a gendarme to tackle directly (III) or on the right spur. Another descent of a few metres and another small crest lead to the base of the third tooth.

The third tooth is tackled by passing a series of blocks in steps and then a vertical wall along a crack (III) after the crack traverse now to the left along a ledge, to the spur. Using a detached block climb onto the spur (II+, exposed), which shortly flattens and by slabs reach the fore-summit of the tooth, from where shortly reach the summit of Monte Tre Denti.

Continue now always on the rocky ridge, or alongside on animal tracks. Having passed a final step (II) or bypassed it on the right, the ridge becomes grassy and level. After a poorly marked col (cairn), with one last short ramp touch the summit of Monte delle Plate.

Descend towards the lake and find the path taken on the way up. Very straightforward.

Remarks

Nice and fun. Very panoramic, beautiful for a relaxing half-day in solitary places, Lago Rouen is very beautiful

Route history
