Arête S
- From Lescherette: via the Col de la Pierre.
- From Saint Hugon: via the Lac des Férices.
From the western summit of Grand Miceau, descend the SSW ridge skirting a few gendarmes. Do not commit too early into grassy couloirs on the south-west slope. When it narrows, rope up briefly to follow it, pass 3 rock teeth on the western slope, then traverse onto a small slab on the eastern slope (delicate, 4c downclimbing), and reach a small col.
Leave the ridge on the south-west slope, and traverse successively 2 grassy couloirs to reach a small south-west combe, descend it. Pass under a rocky spur (small grassy couloir), then climb back toward the Col de la Pierre. Do not climb to the ridge of Passage des Chamois, stay 50 m below on the flank.
From the western summit of Grand Miceau, descend the SSW ridge skirting a few gendarmes. Do not commit too early into grassy couloirs on the south-west slope. When it narrows, rope up briefly to follow it, pass 3 rock teeth on the western slope, then traverse onto a small slab on the eastern slope (delicate, 4c downclimbing). Downclimb 50 m in 3b along the ridge line, then via obvious ledges on the western slope, move away from the ridge. Via a small couloir, reach snow slopes. Spot a jagged ridge ahead: via an ascending traverse to the right (suspended slopes at 45/50°), reach the right end of this ridge. At this level, traverse ledges without climbing onto the ridge to reach a small col below (either downclimbing, 1 step of 4b, or via a 20 m abseil). Descend the couloir on the western slope, then traverse across the flank to Passage des Chamois, either below on the western slope, or by reaching the ridge line (exposed, a 30 m abseil to set up at the end).
- Via the southern couloir and south-east slope to reach the Combe de la Pierre. Return to Férices via the Col de la Pierre: +300 m.
- In a traverse via the eastern face: traverse the ridge eastward to the central summit (2660 m), descend its eastern face (scree at 35° between rock bands), then traverse the Passage des Vaches (2200 m, between Grand and Petit Miceau) to reach Lescherette.
- Via the north-west ridge of the western summit.
The only available descriptions come from descents, after climbing the north-west ridge, during traverses of part of Belledonne via the ridges.

From the end of the forest road at Étaves (1445 m), take left the "Sentier de la Croix Blanche" (shown dotted on the IGN map), well maintained and efficient. The cross is visible on the horizon. Reach Cuchet around 1900 m, a stone hut sits discreetly just behind the Croix Blanche. Climb…
