Arête NE
From Gangotri cross the left bank, descend for a few hundred metres, then climb the valley that continues south on a good path at first, cross the torrent by a footbridge then as best you can towards the col that closes the valley towards the Kathling glacier. Bivouac site and stone shepherd's shelter at about 4900 m on the east slope.
From the bivouac continue south then cross as best you can westwards over the glacier (blocked, black glacier type), climb the scree slopes towards the snow ridge which you follow to the summit.
Route apparently very little crevassed.
