Easy alpine climbing in an industrial zone.

Approach

At the arrival of the Jandri Express, ascend the Mont-de-Lans glacier along the double ski lifts of Puy-Salié.

Warning: during the glacier's operating season, routes are defined according to user type; inquire with operating / maintenance / slope personnel to find out which passage to take in order not to interfere with slopes reserved for skiers on descent and machines (snow groomers and snowmobiles) on ascent.

Around 3250 m, when you reach the level of the Soreiller ski lift departure on the right, head in that direction and then rejoin the motor station by taking the ridge. You then arrive at the level of the former upper station of the Jandri 4 chairlift (pylon and return pulley of the manual CATEX).

North-east ridge

Start with a small climb and follow the ridge to the summit marked by a concrete cairn.

Descent

By the same route.

Gear

Crampons recommended for walking on névé and glacier (non-crevassed), even if you find yourself on groomed and maintained slopes summer as well as winter.

Remarks

Interesting viewpoint, but the proximity of the station and the inconvenience on the approach makes this route unpleasant in season (winter and especially summer (http://ete.les2alpes.com/fr/le-domaine-skiable-en-ete.html), often from mid-June to mid-August roughly).
