Mountaineering Routes

This is the established standard ascent to Sonntagshorn and is generally described as a mountain hike with short, easy climbing sections rather than a technical alpine route. It follows marked mountain paths from the south side toward the summit area. The route is exposed to typical alpine hazards such as wet grass, loose stones, fog, and snowfields early in the season. In dry summer conditions it is usually straightforward for sure-footed hikers, but it is not a pure trekking trail because the upper part requires mountain experience. I am not confident that Sonntagshorn has other separately documented mountaineering routes with distinct names in the major sources I know. For that reason I am only listing the well-established normal ascent here.
