Normal route from Rifugio Rosetta via the south-west side

This is the standard documented mountaineering ascent of Pala di San Martino from the Rosetta area. It is an alpine route rather than a hiking path, involving exposed terrain, loose rock, and route-finding on the mountain’s south-west side. The difficulty is generally moderate by Dolomite standards, but conditions can make the route feel more serious than the grade suggests. It is best attempted in stable weather, as the rock can be poor in places and the route is exposed to objective hazards. The line is commonly described in guidebooks as the normal way to the summit from the Rosetta hut sector. Exact timing and vertical gain vary by source and are not given here.
