Mountaineering activities and climbing are also represented nationally by the Norwegian Climbing Federation (Norsk Klatreforbund). Established guiding companies operating within the country include Jostedalen Breførarlag based in Jostedal and Lofoten Mountain Guides based in Kabelvåg (Lofoten). Visitors turning to these professional bodies for ascents can expect itineraries where pricing depends on factors such as duration, group size, equipment requirements, and potential overnight stays.
