This is the classic and best-known climbing route on Campanile Basso. It follows the South-West Ridge and is a genuine alpine rock climb rather than a hike. The route is famous for sustained exposure, route-finding, and varied climbing on solid Dolomite limestone. Difficulties are generally moderate in technical grade but serious because of the mountain setting and the amount of airiness. It is commonly climbed with ropework and often involves rappels on descent. Conditions and congestion can strongly affect the overall seriousness.

The Fehrmann Route is one of the historic and well-documented lines on Campanile Basso. It is more demanding than the normal route and is regarded as a classic Dolomite climb. The route involves steeper and more sustained technical climbing on exposed rock. It is typically climbed by competent parties comfortable with route-finding and protection management. As with many Brenta climbs, loose sections and weather exposure can increase the seriousness. The route is a mountaineering objective, not a trekking path.

The Bettega Route is another established alpine route on Campanile Basso. It is a technical rock climb with significant exposure and a more serious character than the normal route. The line is documented in Brenta guidebooks and is part of the peak’s classic climbing history. Expect route-finding, steep sections, and the need for secure movement on limestone. The descent is usually by rappel or by the standard downclimb line, depending on conditions and party preference. It is suitable only for experienced climbers in a mountain environment.
