Add route
This is the standard and best-known ascent of Bifertenstock. It starts from Fridolinshütte and crosses the Bifertenfirn before gaining the south ridge. The route is a classic alpine glacier-and-ridge climb with straightforward route-finding in good conditions. Crevasse danger on the glacier and snow conditions on the upper slopes are the main objective hazards. The final ridge is steeper and more exposed than the approach, but it is generally considered the normal way to the summit. A rope, glacier travel equipment, and solid alpine experience are required.
