Add route
This is the standard and best-documented ascent of Ankogel. It is generally a non-technical alpine route, but it crosses high-mountain terrain and may involve snow, glacier remnants, and exposed sections depending on conditions. The route is commonly climbed from the Hannoverhaus, which serves as the usual base for the summit attempt. In stable summer conditions it is a straightforward alpine climb, but early season or poor visibility can make route-finding more serious. Crampons and an ice axe may be necessary when snow remains on the upper mountain. The final section to the summit is the most exposed part of the climb.
