This is the standard mountaineering route to the highest point of Marmolada, Punta Penia. It is a glacier and snow route rather than a pure hiking path, and it is normally done with alpine equipment. The route is generally considered straightforward in good conditions but can become serious because of crevasses, hard snow, and objective hazards from weather and ice.
