A documented alpine ascent line on the south side of Pic de Néouvielle, using the south ridge to reach the summit. The route is usually easier than the more technical faces, but it still requires sure-footed movement on mountain terrain. It is a mountaineering route rather than a marked trail, and conditions can change the difficulty significantly. Snow patches, loose blocks, and exposure on the ridge can increase the seriousness. The line is best attempted in stable weather with good visibility. It is one of the established named routes associated with the peak.
