This is the standard and best-documented climbing line on Lenin Peak, approached from the north side in Kyrgyzstan. It is primarily a glacier and snow route, with objective hazards typical of high-altitude terrain such as crevasses, seracs, and avalanche exposure. The route is usually climbed with one or more high camps rather than in a single push. Technical difficulty is generally moderate, but the main challenge is altitude and sustained alpine conditions. Route-finding can be complex in poor visibility, especially on the glacier sections. It is the classic non-technical summit route used by most guided parties and independent climbers.
