Pedraforca via the Canal del Verdet

The Canal del Verdet is one of the established alpine lines on Pedraforca and is more committing than the normal route. It follows a steep couloir/gully system on the north side, where loose rock and stonefall are common. Enter the Canal del Verdet, the steep gully on the north side

This is the classic and best-known mountaineering route on Pedraforca, using the north side of the massif and the Enforcadura col. It is a rocky alpine route rather than a simple hike, with loose stone, exposed sections, and route-finding in the gullies and ledges. The terrain is generally straightforward in dry conditions but can become serious with snow, ice, or wet rock.
