North Ridge

3A | AD | III Edit route
A classic alpine ridge route on Rinderhorn, generally climbed from the Gemmi area. It is a mixed rock-and-snow ascent with sustained scrambling and exposed sections. The route is typically done in stable conditions, as the ridge can become serious when snow or ice is present. Route-finding is important on the upper mountain, where the ridge narrows and the terrain becomes more exposed. It is a well-known mountaineering line rather than a hiking route.

Southwest Ridge

2A | PD | II
A documented alpine route on Rinderhorn approaching from the south-west side. It is generally considered easier than the north ridge, but still requires proper mountaineering conditions and equipment. The route follows ridge and flank terrain with snow slopes and some rocky sections near the summit. Objective hazards can include loose rock, snow instability, and poor visibility affecting navigation. It is a standard summit line for experienced parties in good weather.
