Normal route via the South Face (Via Normale / Normalweg)
This is the standard documented mountaineering route to the summit of Sasso Lungo. It is a classic Dolomite alpine climb on steep rock, with sustained scrambling and climbing on exposed terrain. The route is not a hiking path and requires sure-footedness, route-finding, and comfort on alpine rock. Conditions can vary significantly with snow or ice lingering in shaded sections. The line is generally considered the easiest established ascent to the summit, but it still involves serious mountain hazards. Exact distance, ascent gain, and timing are not consistently standardized in the sources I can verify, so they are omitted.
