Normal route via the Preda Rossa valley and the north-west ridge

2A | PD | II Edit route
This is the standard and best-known mountaineering route on Monte Disgrazia. It is a classic alpine ascent combining glacier travel, snow slopes, and a rocky ridge finish. The route is generally considered the normal way to the summit and is documented in major alpine guide sources. Objective hazards include crevasses on the glacier and possible rockfall or unstable snow conditions on the upper mountain. The final section on the ridge is more serious than a simple hiking ascent and requires proper alpine equipment and conditions. Exact timing and gain vary with the chosen approach and snow conditions, and I am not confident enough to state documented figures here.
