Normal Route via the Glacier de la Temple and the Brèche de la Temple

This is the standard and best-documented way to climb Pic Coolidge. It is a classic high-mountain glacier route in the Écrins, usually involving snow and glacier travel with crevasse awareness. The route is generally considered non-technical in dry, stable conditions, but it still requires full alpine equipment and competence on glaciated terrain. The main objective hazards are crevasses, serac or snow instability, and poor visibility on the glacier. Conditions can change quickly, and the upper mountain may require crampons and an ice axe even when the lower approach is straightforward. It is commonly climbed as an alpine outing from a high bivouac or hut in the sector.
