Normal route from Viadós

2A | PD | II Edit route
This is the classic and best-documented way to climb Pico de Posets. It is generally a non-technical alpine ascent, but it is still a serious high-mountain outing because of the elevation gain and the length of the day. The route follows established mountain paths and then steeper upper slopes and ridge terrain near the summit. In normal summer conditions it is mostly a hiking-style mountaineering route, but snow, ice, or poor visibility can make navigation and footing more demanding. It is the standard route described in guidebooks for the peak and the one most commonly used for summit attempts.

This is another established access line to the summit of Pico de Posets, starting from the Estós side. It is a long alpine route rather than a technical climb, and it is usually treated as a classic ascent in the Posets Massif. The upper section becomes steeper and more exposed to mountain conditions, especially if snow remains on the route. Route-finding can be important in mist or early season conditions. It is a documented summit route for the peak and is commonly referenced alongside the Viadós approach.
