- Approach Time
- 2-3 h
- Ascent Time
- 4-5 h
- Summit Push
- 2-3 h
This is the standard and best-known mountaineering ascent of Wildstrubel from the Lämmerenhütte area. It is a glacier route with a straightforward alpine character, usually climbed with crampons and rope. The difficulties are generally moderate, but route-finding can be important in poor visibility. Crevasses and snow conditions on the glacier are the main objective hazards. The final section to the summit is typically on snow and easy mixed terrain depending on conditions. It is commonly treated as a classic non-technical alpine climb rather than a hiking route.
