Normal route from the Rotondohütte via the south ridge
This is the standard documented mountaineering route to Pizzo Rotondo. It is a classic alpine ascent from the Rotondohütte, following the south ridge toward the summit. The route is generally straightforward in dry summer conditions but involves real alpine terrain rather than a hiking path. Expect exposed rocky sections and some route-finding on the ridge. Snow or verglas can significantly increase the difficulty and objective hazard. It is typically climbed as a day outing from the hut, with descent by the same line.
