Normal route from the Ringelspitzhütte via the south ridge

3A | AD | III Edit route
This is the standard and best-known mountaineering route to Ringelspitz. It is an alpine route combining glacier travel, rock, and snow, with the difficulty concentrated on the upper ridge. The route is typically climbed from the Ringelspitzhütte, which serves as the normal base for the ascent. Conditions on the glacier and ridge can vary significantly with snow cover and season. The upper section requires sure-footedness and comfort on exposed alpine terrain. Objective hazards include crevasses, loose rock, and changing weather.
