Normal route from the Gauli side via the Rosenlaui Glacier
This is the standard documented alpine route to Rosenhorn and is generally climbed as a glacier and snow ascent. It is a classic Bernese Alps mountaineering objective rather than a technical rock climb. The route involves glacier travel, so crevasse danger and route-finding are the main objective hazards. Conditions on the upper slopes can vary significantly with snow cover and season. In stable conditions it is usually considered a moderate alpine climb. A rope, glacier equipment, and early starts are normally appropriate.
