Normal route from the Albert 1er Hut via the Col du Passon
This is the standard documented mountaineering route on Aiguille du Passon. It is a glaciated alpine ascent with straightforward but real mountain hazards, especially crevasses and snow conditions. The route is generally considered a moderate snow-and-ice climb rather than a technical rock climb. Route-finding can vary with glacier conditions and seasonal snow cover. It is commonly used as part of traverses between the Argentière and Trient sides of the massif. A rope, glacier travel skills, and normal alpine equipment are required.
