Normal Route from Starý Smokovec via the Velická Valley and the Velická Próba

This is the standard documented mountaineering line on Slavkovský štít, following the south-side terrain above the Velická Valley. It is generally considered an easier alpine route rather than a technical climb, but it still requires sure-footedness and comfort on steep mountain terrain. The route is exposed to rockfall and can be hazardous in wet, icy, or snowy conditions. In summer it is usually climbed as a non-glaciated alpine ascent, while in winter it becomes a more serious mountaineering objective. The exact line and difficulty can vary with conditions, especially on the upper rocky sections. It is typically descended by the same route.
