Normal route from Plauener H fctte via the north ridge
This is the standard and best-known ascent of Reichenspitze. It starts from the Plauener H fctte and follows the normal alpine route to the summit via the north ridge. The route is a classic glacier-and-ridge climb rather than a hiking path, and typically requires glacier travel skills and appropriate equipment. The difficulties are generally moderate, but conditions can change significantly with snow, ice, and crevasse exposure. Route-finding may be straightforward in good conditions but more serious in poor visibility or late season. It is the established documented summit route for the peak.
