Normal route from Julier Pass via the north ridge

2A | PD | II Edit route
This is the standard documented mountaineering route on Piz Güglia, also known as Piz Julier. It follows the north ridge from the Julier Pass side and is generally regarded as the normal ascent. The route is an alpine climb rather than a hiking trail, with exposed ridge terrain and some scrambling. Conditions can vary significantly with snow and ice, which can increase the seriousness of the ascent. The route is usually climbed in stable weather and with appropriate alpine equipment. It is the best-known and most established way to the summit.
