Mokrá cesta (Wet Route)

A documented classic route on Ľadový štít, known for its steep and committing character. The line is a genuine alpine climb rather than a scramble, with mixed rock and snow/ice sections depending on conditions. The route is exposed and can be affected by rockfall. It is commonly treated as a full-day mountaineering objective from the Téryho chata area.

Jahn's Route (Jahnova cesta)

4B | D+ | IV/V
One of the classic and best-known alpine routes on Ľadový štít. It is a serious High Tatras climb with sustained steep rock and mixed terrain. The route is typically climbed in summer conditions, but snow and verglas can make it considerably harder. Protection and route-finding are important, and the climb is exposed to rockfall and weather changes. It is not a hiking route and requires full mountaineering equipment and experience. The exact difficulty can vary with conditions, but it is generally regarded as a hard alpine route.

South Ridge (Južný hrebeň)

3B | AD+/D− | III/IV
A named alpine ridge route on Ľadový štít. It is less severe than the hardest wall lines but still a proper mountaineering ascent with exposed climbing. The route usually involves mixed scrambling and climbing on broken High Tatra granite. In poor conditions it can become much more serious because of snow, ice, and loose sections. The ridge setting gives a classic alpine atmosphere and significant exposure. It is suitable only for climbers comfortable on steep mountain terrain.
