Escupidera Route

This is the classic and most frequently documented mountaineering line on Monte Perdido. It is a high-mountain route that usually starts from the Góriz Hut and crosses the north face, often involving snow, mixed ground, and loose rock depending on conditions. The route is not a simple hike: in early season it can require crampons and an ice axe, and later in summer the snow may be reduced but rockfall exposure can increase. The upper section is the crux of the ascent, with route-finding important in poor visibility. It is commonly climbed as a long day from Góriz or as part of a two-day outing. The south face from the Pineta side is a documented alpine objective on Monte Perdido, generally more serious and less straightforward than the normal north-side routes. Conditions can vary greatly, and the face may involve mixed climbing, loose rock, and snow depending on the season.
