Bamberg Route

2B | PD+/AD− | II/III Edit route
The Bamberg Route is one of the classic documented climbing routes on Triglav and is generally considered the standard easier alpine ascent line from the north side. It is a mountaineering route rather than a hiking trail, with sustained exposed sections and fixed protection in the steeper parts. The route is typically climbed from the Vrata valley area via Luknja and the notch below the summit ridge. It involves scrambling and short climbing passages on solid rock, with significant exposure. In wet, icy, or crowded conditions it becomes much more serious. It is commonly used as an ascent and descent line by experienced climbers.

The Prague Route is a well-known named climbing route on Triglav, usually described as a classic south-side alpine route. It is more of a mountaineering climb than a walk, with exposed rock steps and protected sections. The route is shorter and more direct than the north-side classics, but it still requires sure-footedness and comfort on steep terrain. Conditions on the limestone can vary greatly with weather, especially after rain or when the rock is polished by traffic. It is generally climbed in summer and early autumn by experienced parties. Čop Route

4B | D+ | IV/V
The Čop Route is one of the most famous and serious climbing routes on Triglav. It is a true alpine rock route on the north face, much harder and more committing than the standard via ferrata-style approaches. The line is long, steep, and exposed, with route-finding and rock quality both important factors. It is a classic objective for experienced climbers and is widely documented in Slovenian climbing literature. Snow, ice, or wet rock can dramatically increase the difficulty and objective danger. This is not a hiking route and should only be attempted by competent alpinists.

Skala Route

3B | AD+/D− | III/IV
The Skala Route is a documented classic alpine route on Triglav, associated with the historic development of Slovenian mountaineering. It is a serious climbing line with exposed sections and sustained scrambling/climbing on rock. The route is less straightforward than the normal protected summit approaches and demands good route-finding. It is typically climbed in stable summer conditions when the rock is dry. Because of its alpine character, it is best suited to experienced climbers comfortable with exposure. It is recognized in guidebooks and local climbing references as a named route on Triglav.
