Ascutit Route is a well-known alpine route on Piatra Craiului, named for the mountain’s sharp ridge character. It is more of a mountaineering line than a trek, with exposed ridge travel and occasional climbing moves. The route is typically done in stable weather because the limestone crest becomes hazardous when wet, icy, or windy. Route-finding is important, as the ridge terrain can be complex and the line is not a simple path.
