Add route
This is the standard and best-known mountaineering route to Sustenhorn. It is a glacier-and-snow ascent with a straightforward alpine character in normal conditions. The route is generally considered the easiest way to the summit, but it still requires glacier travel skills and appropriate crevasse protection. The main objective hazards are crevasses, snow conditions, and possible rockfall or icefall depending on season and weather. The final section on the west ridge is typically the crux in terms of exposure and route-finding. In stable summer conditions it is usually climbed as a long day from the Sustenpass area.
