This is the standard alpine ascent of Stubaier Wildspitze and is typically climbed from the Stubai side via the Wildspitze Hut area. The route is a glacier and snow climb rather than a hiking path, and it requires normal alpine equipment and glacier travel skills. Conditions can vary significantly with snow cover, crevasse exposure, and late-season ice. The upper mountain is generally straightforward in good conditions but can become more serious if the snow bridge conditions deteriorate. It is the best-known documented mountaineering line to the summit of this peak.
