This is the standard and best-known mountaineering route on Pizzo Tresero. It follows the north-west ridge from the Rifugio V. Alpini area and is generally considered a straightforward alpine climb rather than a technical rock route. The route typically involves mixed terrain with snow, scree, and short rocky sections. Conditions can vary significantly with snow cover, and the ridge may require careful route-finding in poor visibility. Objective hazards include loose rock and, early or late in the season, hard snow or ice on the upper slopes. It is usually climbed as a classic alpine day route from the hut area.
