Normal Route

2A | PD | II
The standard ascent of Pisang Peak is the well-known normal route used by most climbers. It is generally climbed from the Pisang village side, with a high camp established on the mountain before the summit attempt. The route is a non-technical to moderately technical alpine climb, depending on season and conditions. Typical difficulties include steep snow slopes, glacier travel, and short sections of mixed terrain near the upper mountain. Objective hazards can include crevasses, snow instability, and rockfall on warmer days. The route is usually climbed and descended by the same line.
