Strunga Dracului is the best-known mountaineering line on Negoiu and is documented as a serious alpine route rather than a simple hiking path. Strunga Doamnei is another named alpine line on Negoiu, typically treated as a less severe alternative to Strunga Dracului. It follows a steep gully system with short rocky passages and exposed terrain. The route is documented in Romanian mountain literature as a mountaineering ascent, not merely a hiking trail. Snow and ice can increase the seriousness considerably, especially outside the dry season. It is suitable only for parties comfortable with exposed mountain terrain and route-finding. The exact difficulty depends strongly on conditions.
