Mountaineering Routes · Jegihorn

Add route
This is the standard documented alpine route to Jegihorn and is commonly climbed from the Hohsaas area above Saas-Grund. It follows the mountain’s ridge and upper slopes to the summit, with terrain that is generally straightforward but still alpine in character. The route is typically done as a mountaineering outing rather than a pure hike, and conditions can include snow, ice, or loose rock depending on the season. Exposure increases near the summit ridge, so sure-footedness and basic alpine experience are required. Route-finding is usually not complex in good visibility, but the high-altitude setting means weather changes and snow conditions matter. It is generally considered the easiest established way to the summit of Jegihorn.
