West Ridge

3A | AD | III
A classic alpine ridge route on Dirruhorn, usually climbed from the Weissmieshütte area. It follows a long, exposed ridge with mixed scrambling and climbing on rock and snow. The route is generally considered the normal way to the summit and requires good route-finding. Conditions can vary significantly with snow and ice on the ridge. Exposure is sustained, and retreat can be difficult once committed. It is a serious high-alpine outing rather than a simple walk-up.

South Ridge

4A | D | IV
A more difficult and less straightforward alpine route on Dirruhorn. It is a technical ridge climb with sustained exposure and more demanding climbing than the west ridge. The line is documented as a mountaineering route on the peak, but it is less commonly used than the standard ridge ascent. Snow, verglas, and loose rock can increase the difficulty considerably. It demands solid alpine experience and careful judgment. Objective hazards and route-finding issues are part of the climb.
